SUMMARY OF BASIC FUNCTION: The Head of Extension plays a crucial role in developing and promoting agricultural productivity, increasing food security, improving rural livelihoods, and promoting agriculture, especially through the Sisaket Creative Farmers Network (SCFN), with the primary intention of securing the raw material supply for Raitong Organics Farm Co., Ltd (ROF) in the required volume and quality. The Head of Extension is responsible for advising, instructing, and assisting farmers that work with ROF (through SCFN and other farmer groups), by keeping the farming community up to date with the latest and most innovative knowledge and farming techniques to improve farming efficiency, productivity, and yields. Through this process, the Head of Extension is responsible for enlarging the number of farmer members and the registered acreage with the SCFN and working with the SCFN members to obtain organic and biodynamic certification. In addition, the Head of Extension establishes strategic partnerships/projects and exchanges knowledge with other agricultural experts, farmers, scientific and research institutions, for the benefit of ROF and the SCFN.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • Oversee the management of the ROF Agricultural Extension (AEX) Department, including annual planning and budgeting, staff work assignments and performance, document control and knowledge management. • Manage the ROF/CEROM (Community Enterprise of Raitong Organics Member) ICS and update it where necessary in collaboration with the SCFN Board and in compliance with international organic, biodynamic, ROC, Fairtrade certification standard. • Improve the ICS auditing through the development of field-based soil and water testing protocol for farmer members. • Develop viable, credible options for record-keeping for illiterate farmers. • Collaborate closely with ROF Production and QA/QC departments to ensure that CEROM farmers are fully aware of and compliant with ROF raw material requirement standards. • Develop a series of workshops, meetings, and training to increase CEROM members’ capacity and quality of agricultural practices. • Maintain a high retention rate if certified organic farmer members in the CEROM, and constantly seek to increase the number of farmer members and total yield of rice from CEROM to be at least 500 MT by 2026. • Ensure Farm AI, Trace Thai or similar (internal and external) AI and traceability systems are fully integrated into the daily management and record-keeping for all farmers and AEX procedures. • Assist HR in the development of comprehensive internship programs, with a key focus on agricultural technical colleges and university programs. • In collaboration with Sales and Marketing and the CEROM, acquire, translate, and disseminate materials relevant to promote ROF’s organic biodynamic ROC farming strategy, goals, and activities. • Develop and implement sustainable organic/biodynamic ROC farming practices and systems to improve soil and crop health, livestock husbandry, and to improve CEROM farmer income and well being. • Develop a living seedbank of local green manure and pasture crops, aiming for maximum species diversity (at least 100 species) • In collaboration with our BD advisor, localize BD 500-508 production methods and locations, and research the use of local plant substitute species. • Establish strategic partnerships/projects and exchange knowledge with other agricultural experts, farmers, scientific and research institutions, with the aim of expanding organic/biodynamic knowledge, implementation, acreage under cultivation, crop alternatives, etc. • Assist in the management and operation of farmland, animal infrastructure, crops and livestock owned by ROF, seeking to constantly improve our farming and husbandry methods within the context of organic/biodynamic agriculture. • Assist the management in analyzing potential organic market for future crop planning and doing feasibility studies for any potential projects. • Assist the management in studying and implementing carbon credit projects with CEROM in the future. • Generate annual report for CEROM. • Ensure positive and effective branding communications of ROF with publics, customer , CEROM, etc in everyway possibles.

• Degree in agriculture, forestry, environmental engineering, environmental science, natural resource management, or similar.
• Relevant experience, incl. management of specialized teams
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with good persuasive ability and tact.
• Ability to develop detailed workplans, targets, and budgets.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar.
• Fluent in Thai, and good ability to speak, read and write English.
• Able to work long hours in challenging environmental conditions
